Lonely Christmas nights and other stories

It's one of these lonely Christmas nights you thought they'd find you someplace else yet here you are, home alone, waiting for the cat to come and cuddle with you...

By this age, I'm so used to this empty lingering feeling, I'm not even sure I'd like to change it any more.
You know, you become so familiar to the idea of being alone, that even when in a relationship, you never seem to fit in.
Will this ever change? Will I actually one day belong, or will I just settle down for less than desired?
Am I easier happy as I grow old, or do I gaslight myself to like the least effort?
Does therapy really help?
So here I am, writing my first ever blog post, trying to openly communicate and externalize my slurred thoughts.
I am K, and here's my blog 'I owe it to my shelf'.

Stressed, depressed and hardly impressed.
Can be used as a bad example.
Dog and cat mom, book hoarder, will probably die before I finish my TBR.

Jack of all trades, master of none!
Just a small-town girl, living in a lonely world

Sometimes funny, I guess
