So, what are we?

Dating life is not easy. In fact, it's so hard and complicated, that makes me wonder why even bother...

Of course, I'm not complaining, I've had and am having my fair share of dates with very interesting people. When I'm single, I often go on dates, just for fun, you know.
Sometimes it is a romantic date, others just a nice long walk, or to get some lunch. It doesn't always mean we'll see each other again, and it certainly doesn't mean we need to kiss or get to second base.

But dating is a game not a lot of people know how to play.

For some people going on a date means - well - sex.

Which is fine, as long as it's been somewhat talked about or agreed upon.
But if this fine line of communication hasn't been established in advance, I have some bad news for you, amigo. It ain't gonna happen.

And no, I don't consider myself to be a prude, nor do I play any games. It's just that, when I go on a date, I like to be clear in advance. My intention is to go on a date with you, or I see you more as a potential friend. No, one doesn't undo the other, but being upfront and sincere is a key turning point.

When I go on a date, it's a date. We talk and flirt and make romantic gestures and keep up with the game. But if you say 'let's chill', well I'll chill. I'll be all relaxed and cool, but I will probably talk about stuff I'd talk about with friends. And you immediately go to the so-called friend zone.
Because this is how it works, for me.

If you want us to be on a date, ask me out.

Works like a charm!

So, ask! Ask for what you want, and express your needs.
Do you want to meet? Establish your intentions. Tell 'em ''I only date for sex'' or ''I only date to find my future wife''. Sometimes it's even ok to tell 'em ''I want to have a relationship, and I hope it will be with you''.

All in all honesty though, I understand this isn't for everyone. And I am ok with it, of course. Not knowing what you want is okay; it really is!
You are not sure what you feel like - ok.
You still need to work it out - ok.

I'm not judging! Take your time, and if this doesn't work, well, it didn't. That's fine!
What's not fine, you ask?
Lying, being manipulative, and gaslighting.

Being disrespectful, or pretending you are something you are not.

Babe, I'll find out. And you don't want me to be upset. Trust me!

Of course, and this goes without saying (but someone has to say it) this doesn't apply to all women!
This is not a user-friendly manual, sorry boo!
If you want to know, you must ask. Each and every one of us, individually.

Because some women prefer you to be first friends. And others would not sleep with you until you're in a relationship. Others will only have ONSs and others will just keep it platonic.
And if you have to ask, mate, don't judge. She doesn't owe you to be liked by you.

Dating is complicated.
You'll get frustrated, bored, and upset. Sometimes you'll like them, but they won't like you back.
Others will like you, but they will not be your type.

But sometimes, just only some times, you'll get super lucky, and they will like you back.

This will be the one

The one who will make you realize why you had to go through it all.
The one who will be worth the wait.

And then you'll know, why you had to kiss all those frogs before you find Prince Charming!
